We have been active in the engineering industry for decades, working in various sectors and with different companies. During this time, we have worked on diverse projects within different organizational structures.
Based on our experience, we have developed our own 3D workflow to optimize our own work structures and processes according to modern standards and to meaningfully expand our range of services.

Both smaller boats and ships as well as huge, luxurious yachts, cruise ships or special research vessels are part of our business.
Besides the ship segment, we also work on other projects, e.g. with clients from the aviation and building construction sectors.
Accordingly, we are accustomed to working on extensive large-scale projects in various industries, cooperating successfully and efficiently with diverse partners, and are very familiar with the processes.
With hyggeWerkstatt, we embarked on a new path in 2020. Its origin lies in the passion of our owner and managing director, Thomas Ludwig, for small, mobile living concepts.
Based on his enthusiasm for tiny houses and houseboats, the focus in the hyggeWerkstatt was placed early on the individual conversion of vehicles, especially into cozy, hygge campers and motorhomes.
Furthermore, the focus here is on individual design and manufacturing, natural, ecological materials and distribution to the end consumer.
On the one hand, we are building on decades of planning and construction experience, and on the other hand, we have significantly expanded our range of services as well as our skills and experience.

Our workflow: We ensure a smooth process from data acquisition with 3D scanning to the creation of CAD-compatible models and their data transfer to the desired software, through 3D design and reverse engineering based on the CAD models, to high-quality 3D visualizations/renderings and manufacturing drawings for machine production.

Owner, Managing Director & Order Processing
Thomas has been the owner and managing director of D&L GmbH for almost 20 years.
In addition to his management and operational duties, he has identified needs and opportunities in recent years and played a crucial role in developing our 3D expertise.
As an aerospace engineer, he is very familiar with elaborate, complex designs and the technical background of our entire service, and finds the right service option for every project.
Thomas is our first point of contact for new customers and is always open to even the most creative project requests in new application areas.

Master Carpenter, Reverse Engineer, Project Lead
Having come from Lufthansa Technik, Ulf has expanded the 3D service in recent years, from scanning to production, including CNC programming and machine control.
As a trained master carpenter, Ulf combines his know-how in high-quality carpentry with state-of-the-art 3D scanning and production technology.
He is our specialist for recording dimensions and structures and further processing the data (e.g. reverse engineering, milling contours, data transfer into construction plans, documentation, 3D printing, inserting existing CAD data into the scans to check the fit and/or to create milling contours, etc.).
